The New 2011 XKR at a glance

The latest generation of Jaguar's award-winning XKR sports coupe now offers customers even greater choice thanks to a new Special Edition model and two optional performance and styling packs:

• The new XKR with optional Black Pack for added visual impact
• The new XKR with optional Speed Pack for a significantly increased maximum speed
• The XKR Special Edition, which combines both packs to create the ultimate supercharged sports coupe.

The 2011 Model Year XKR features the acclaimed AJ-V8 Gen III R direct-injection engine – the most advanced and efficient supercharged engine Jaguar has ever produced:
• 5.0-litre supercharged AJ-V8 Gen III R delivers 510PS (510bhp SAE), 625Nm of torque and propels the XKR coupe to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds.

With the optional Speed Pack, the maximum speed of the XKR is raised from 155mph (250km/h) to an electronically limited 174mph (280km/h) thanks to recalibration of the engine management system.

New optional Black Pack allows customers to create a bold, extrovert XKR, with the addition of dramatic gloss black 20-inch Kalimnos alloy wheels, gloss black finish to the front air grilles and side Power Vents, red brake callipers, a body-coloured aerodynamic pack (including a front chin spoiler and larger rear spoiler) and an optional 'XKR' body side graphic along the lower sills.

State-of-the-art six-speed automatic transmission has seamless gearshifts, while an advanced Active Differential Control and Adaptive Dynamics suspension system further optimises traction and handling.

The XKR's advanced aluminium body architecture is strong and lightweight and the key to maximising the car's performance, dynamic agility, competitive CO2 emissions and fuel economy.

Improved CO2 emissions performance (Euro Stage V compliant two years ahead of legislative requirement) and fuel economy comparable to the previous 4.2-litre XKR engine.

The 2011 XKR remains true to the heritage of Jaguar's legendary performance, delivering a superb balance of dynamic ability and refinement.

Exciting user-friendly technologies such as the JaguarDrive Selector™ further enhance performance, driving dynamics and the XKR's luxury sporting character.

The new XKR Special Edition with Speed and Black Packs is unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show on March 4th, 2010.
